There is a simple four-step process for reposting on TikTok. The steps are:

Open your TikTok app;

Choose the video you want to repost;

At the bottom right-hand corner, click on the “Share” button (the arrow icon); 

At this stage, you’d be able to see the “Repost” button. Just click on it!

There are cases where you’ll also be able to see the “Repost” button on the left-hand corner of the video you want to repost. You can go ahead and click there;

If you see a confirmation window, just click on “Repost” again.

Once you’ve done this, your repost should be visible by the people you follow, which can be no more than 10k people in total.

How to Un repost on TikTok?

If you ever want to go back on your repost, either because you reposted something by mistake or you just changed your mind, there is also a simple four-step process to this. 

Choose the video you reposted;

Tap on the button that looks like an “Arrow” on the right side of the video;

Click on the “Remove Repost” button;

If you get a removal confirmation window, just confirm the removal;

Once your repost is removed you’ll get a notification of that. 

This process will delete your repost from TikTok forever. 

How to See Reposts on TikTok?

Now that you’ve started reposting videos on your account, you must be curious to find out what posts you’ve reposted thus far. If you are, here is how to see what you reposted on TikTok: 

Open your TikTok app;

Click on “Profile” which will take you to your profile;

From there, click on the “Reposts” icon;

Voila! You now have an overview of all your reposts so far.

How Long Do Reposts on TikTok Last?

There is no straightforward answer to this question, but it actually depends on several factors. The most important factor is how popular you are on the app, how popular that certain video is, as well as the popularity of the hashtag.

Therefore, the repost can last from a few hours to a few days or weeks before another viral content replaces it. 

How to Private Reposts on TikTok?

We hate to break it to you, but if you ever wanted to keep some of your reposts to yourself, we’re here to tell you that there is no way to do that. The only way you can hide or private your reposts is actually to undo them or delete them. 

However, you can also go ahead and remove the repost option on your TikTok. The steps to do this have changed recently, but in recent months, thanks to the new update, you have to manually uncheck the repost button so your comment/video doesn’t get reposted. 

You can do this by:

Writing a comment;

Clicking on the “Repost” button if you want to repost it (it will turn red);

Leaving the “Repost” button as it is, if you don’t want to repost it (it will stay empty);

If you see the reposting sign on your comment, that means that you’ve successfully reposted the comment/video.

If the reposting sign is not visible on your comment, it means that you’ve privated your repost, and that you’re followers won’t be able to see it.
