Sky Go is one of the most popular streaming services in the UK.

For now, the service is not available on the Fire TV Stick, which can be frustrating for those who use Amazon’s handy streaming device and have a Sky Go subscription.

Let’s begin.

What is Sky Go?

There is a two-device limit on the Sky Go which can be extended with a Sky Go Extra subscription for up to four devices, which includes gaming consoles like Playstation and Xbox.

What can you watch on Sky Go?

In the Sky Go app, you’ll find over 70 live channels from a variety of categories, such as News, Sports, Kids, Documentaries, and more, but it will mostly depend on the Sky TV subscription package that you have.

Things To Try If Sky Go Is Not Working On Your Firestick

While several apps can help you sideload Sky Go on Fire Stick, some issues can cause the Firestick to crash. Here are some things you can do to make sure your Firestick works properly:

  • Clear the cache memory: Your Firestick stores data in the background– the more you use it, the more data it will save. This can make your device buggy and prone to inconsistencies and crashes.
  • Factory reset: A factory reset will both remove unnecessary cache memory and reset all other settings to their default state.
  • Check the app version: Outdated software is known to be susceptible to failure. That’s why it’s important to make sure you have the latest Sky Go app version.

Bottom Line

Sky Go is a great streaming service that gives subscribers access to plenty of movies, TV shows, and live sports events. Sky Go on Firestick may not be supported on the Amazon device yet, but there are apps that can help you download it on the portable streaming device– after you sideload the Firestick.
