Keep on reading to learn how to find the IP address on a Roku TV without a remote or any hassles, so you continue watching your favourite TV content right away.

Looking Up Your Roku IP Address Without Remote

Each network device, including your Roku player, has an IP address used to identify it on a local Wi-Fi network, and regardless of why you might need it, you can find it via several methods:

1. Find the IP Address on a Roku TV With Remoku

One of the fastest ways to get the IP address of your Roku device is via Remoku—the Chrome browser extension that serves as a virtual remote control. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your Roku device
  2. Download and install Remoku through the Chrome Web Store;
  3. Open the extension and navigate to the settings page;
  4. Enter your systems IP address and the number of Roku devices you have;
  5. Click scan and wait for Remoku to retrieve your Roku IP addresses.

Note: Instead of using the ‘Scan’ function, you can also manually try out different IP addresses.

2. Roku Mobile App

Another convenient method to retrieve your Roku IP address with no remote is to install a Roku mobile app and follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your phone and the Roku device are connected to the same network;
  2. Open the app and navigate to the Settings page;
  3. Find your Roku device IP under ‘My network’.

Note: The Roku mobile app also offers other useful features, like a touchpad, screencasting, and a collection of your streaming apps.

3. From Your Router

Those with tech know-how who prefer a more direct approach can always complete the process via their router interface:

  1. Log into your router via a web browser;
  2. Navigate to the ‘Connected Devices’ tab;
    • The location varies depending on your router model and brand.
  3. Search for the Roku device by its hostname and find the IP next to it.

Note: If no hostnames are listed, write down the MAC addresses of your devices and use them on third-party sites to check the IP addresses and device names associated with them.

If you still don’t see your Roku IP address, try to disconnect all security and privacy features that you might have like a VPN. VPNs are great for streaming Roku, yet sometimes they can cause these types of problems.
