Adobe’s cancellation fee sparked serious backlash online last year after a user revealed that the company tried to charge him $291.45 for unsubscribing from the Adobe Creative Cloud which includes Adobe Captivate, and other apps.
Luckily, there is a way around it.
Here’s how to cancel Adobe Subscription without paying a cancellation fee.
Cancelling an Adobe subscription is quick and easy and will only take you about a minute.
You can also cancel your subscription by calling Adobe’s customer support team.
Whether or not Adobe will charge you a cancellation fee depends on the type of your subscription.
If you cancel your subscription within the first 14 days, Adobe will give you a full refund. You can still cancel your subscription after the initial 14 days have passed, though, at that point, your payment is non-refundable, but you’ll still have access to that plan until the end of the month’s billing period.
There’s no Adobe cancellation fee for cancelling a monthly subscription.
Adobe users who have agreed to a yearly contract with monthly payments can cancel their subscription in the first 14 days and get a full refund. If they decide to cancel it two weeks into their subscription, Adobe charges them a lump sum of 50% of the remaining contract. They also get access to their paid tool until the end of the billing period.
Users who pay annually will get a refund if they cancel their Adobe plans within the first two weeks. The payment is non-refundable after 14 days.
You can delete your Adobe account after you cancel all of your subscriptions. Once you’ve made sure you don’t have any active subscriptions, follow these steps:
The moment you delete your account, all of your data is lost and you will no longer be able to access files from the Adobe Cloud or any of the Adobe apps such as Photoshop.
Adobe doesn’t charge all of its subscribers a cancellation fee so if you want to cancel your subscription, there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to without having to pay.
All Adobe users get a full refund if they cancel their subscription within the first 14 days.
You can either cancel in the first 14 days or steer clear of Adobe’s annual contracts that require users to pay monthly. That’s the only type of subscription that has a cancellation fee.
The answer to this question is the same as the answer to “How to cancel Adobe subscription.” The only way to end an Adobe subscription is to cancel it, either online or by contacting their customer support team.
