Earlier this year, the British supermarket chain Asda reintroduced a 10% discount on all products to Blue Light Card holders.
But, the Blue Light Card doesn’t work in supermarkets only.
So, in what shops can you use Blue Light Card?
Let’s take a closer look.
Blue Light Card is a discount service for NHS, emergency services, the social care sector, and the armed forces.
From large retail chains to local companies, the company offers discounts in a wide range of industries – including automobile, clothing, insurance, vacation, and more – in the form of a card.
To take advantage of the discounts and deals, you’ll have to pay £4.99 for a two-year membership. Existing members can get a digital card for free, but they can only use it in online shops. What’s more, you can even get cashback apps for more discounts.
To qualify for a Blue Light Card, you need to be employed in any of the following:

The Blue Light Card discounts work differently in different shops.
Most brick-and-mortar shops will offer you a deal on an item when you show your card. Some larger chains might give you a gift card (which typically starts at £10) after you purchase at one of their stores. Other retailers will send you vouchers via email.
Those with a Blue Light Card membership can download the free app from the Google Play store and App Store and take advantage of the interactive map where they can find great bargains near their location.
There are currently more than 15,000 local and national shops that accept the Blue Light Card.
Blue Light Card holders can get money off supermarket bills and restaurants, access free tickets to major events around the country, and save money on gifts, holidays, phones, and insurance, among other things.
