Luckily, there are plenty of restaurants across the UK where children can eat for free or for as little as £1.

Take a look at some of the best kids-eat-free restaurants, pubs and cafes in the UK right now. 

Restaurants Where Kids Eat for Free

Let’s start with restaurants that offer food for your little ones completely free of charge. 

1. Purezza: Free for children under 11

Known as the UK’s first vegan pizzeria, Purezza serves Italian dishes that are as flavoursome as they are healthy. Here all children under 11 can get a free mini pizza with a topping of their choice for every adult meal ordered. The restaurant has a full kids’ menu as well, featuring tasty treats like chocolate-pizza and brownie ice-cream.

In addition to being kid-friendly, Purezza also welcomes pets. And while dogs can’t get a free pizza, nor should they it’s a chance to take the whole family out.

2. YO! Sushi: Free per £10 spent by accompanying adults

Serving fresh, authentic Japanese food, YO! Is the best place for sushi lovers of all ages. 

Kids can eat free here from Monday to Friday if the accompanying adult spends £10 or more on food. 

The offer is limited to restaurants only (no takeaway) and can only be used for the kiddo meal deal bento box. On the plus side, a maximum of three children can eat for free per booking, which works out great for larger families. 

3. Angus Steakhouse: Free for kids under 10 during school holidays

If you’re looking for kid-free-meals at restaurants, Angus Steakhouse, one of the best of its kind in London, is certainly worth checking out. 

If you order a meal at any of Angus Steakhouse’s locations during school holidays, your child can eat for free from the children’s menu. The kids’ menu is quite diverse and features anything from burgers to pasta. The offer is valid Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm—perfect for filling hungry tummies at lunchtime. 

4. The Real Greek: Free for kids on Sundays

If you crave Mediterranean food, try the Real Greek restaurants—with their authentic Greek food, mouthwatering souvlaki and free meals for kids on Sunday, they are the best weekend treat for the whole family. 

For every £10 spent by an adult, a child under the age of 12 can enjoy a free meal, drink and ice cream for dessert.

This ‘kids eat free’ offer is valid for dine-in only at all the Real Greek restaurants nationwide. 

5. Brewers Fayre: Free breakfast for kids under 16

Get your day off to a great start at your local Brewers Fayre restaurant. For one full adult breakfast purchased, you can get as much as you like from the restaurant’s cooked and continental selection, as well as unlimited coffee and drinks.

What’s more, not one but two of your children can enjoy a freshly cooked full English breakfast completely free-of-charge. This brilliant offer is available every day at any of the Brewers Fayre restaurants and is valid for children under 16.

6. Preto: Free for kids under 10

Kids up to 10 years old can enjoy scrumptious Brazilian dishes and eat for free in any Preto restaurant during summer holidays and half term.  

The deal is valid from midday every day and applies to one kid meal per full paying adult. You can also get the same offer online by typing in the code at checkout. Preto has restaurants in Chelmsford and Colchester, as well as 4 locations across London and does delivery with UberEats, Deliveroo and Just Eat. 

7. Hungry Horse: Free breakfast during school holidays 

The Hungry Horse, one of the most family-friendly pubs in the UK, has a great offer for the youngest members. Here, one or two kids can eat a free breakfast during the holidays provided an accompanying adult pays at least £3.49 for their meal. 

Options range from delish Jammy Toast to an amazing children’s breakfast deal, so you are sure to find something to suit your little one’s palate. 

8. Barbican Kitchen: Free pizza for kids under 12

Barbican Kitchen is a family-friendly restaurant located in the heart of London that offers great views and a tempting kids-eat-free offer. At this cafe, children under 12 can have a small Margherita pizza for free for every adult meal ordered at the hot counter.

The offer is valid between 12 pm and 3 pm and 5 pm and 7.30 on weekdays and all day on weekends (pizza is freshly cooked on weekends and between 12 and 3 pm over the week). 

Shops Where Kids Eat Free in 2022

Restaurants and pubs are not the only places that provide kids-eat-free deals. 

9. Morrisons Cafe: Kids under 16 eat free all day 

If you fancy a break from your weekly shopping, Morrison cafe is the perfect place to rest and enjoy some tasty food and drinks. 

Plus, the supermarket has a fantastic offer that allows all children under 16 to get a free meal from the children’s menu, ranging from beans on toast to Mac’ n’ cheese. All meals come with an extra piece of fruit and drink. 

To qualify for this kids-eat-free offer, you need to spend at least £4.99 on an adult meal. 

10. Dunelm Pausa Cafe: Free mini-meal for every £4 spent 

Dunelm, the UK’s number one homewares retailer, offers excellent coffee and great food through their Pausa cafes. It also lets their youngest visitors eat for free at Pausa cafes all over the country. 

For every £4 adults spend, kids can get one mini-main meal, two snacks and a drink free of charge. This is an ongoing offer available from 27th June 2022 and valid on weekdays after 3 pm. 

11. Dobbies Garden Centres: Free kids’ meal with every adult meal 

Did you know that Dobbies has one of the best kids’ meal deals? Here, with every adult main meal purchased, you get one free kid’s meal (breakfast, lunch or pick ‘n’ mix)  plus a drink. This offer is valid every day, all day at almost all Doobies stores nationwide.

In addition to this great deal, you can also arrange a soft play session for your children at the store every day from midday. This offer comes with a kids’ meal for just £5.50.

Shops & Restaurants Where Kids Eat for £1

Some supermarkets and pubs also offer meals for children for one pound only. It may not be completely free, but it is close enough!

12. Asda Cafe: Kids meals for £1 & free baby food

Asda, the cheapest supermarket in the UK, has launched the Kids Eat for £1 initiative, offering meals for all children under 16 for £1 with no minimum adult spend. Depending on the store, kids can choose between a hot or cold meal. 

Babies are also included in the initiative—Asda is giving away a pouch of Ella’s Kitchen baby food to their youngest visitors.

The offer is available every day at all Asda supermarkets in England and Wales. 

13. Bella Italia: Three-course meal & fun activities 

In the mood for Italian food? Make a reservation at one of the most popular pizza chains in the country and your kids can enjoy three delicious courses plus a Cawston Pressed Fruit Water for just one pound when you order a main meal. 

In addition to this exceptional offer, Bella Italia also provides an activity pack—from making their own pizza to fun colouring sheets, your kids will be entrained and full by the time you leave the restaurant. 

14. Sizzling Pubs & Grill: £1 kids’ meal for every adult meal 

Known for their generous portions and warm atmosphere, Sizzling is a place where the entire family can enjoy a tasty weekday meal at a great price. While menus for adults range from £5 to £9, kids can get a main meal for as little as £1. The menu offers something for everyone from fish fingers and pasta to chicken wraps, pizza and more.
