How Do I See PM On Facebook From Non Friends

Facebook has an advanced filtering system that protects users from annoying spam messages by preventing them from reaching your inbox.

Unfortunately, the platform sometimes mistakes certain messages from non-friends as spam, sends them to a different folder, and doesn’t notify you of the request.

But, how do I see PM on Facebook from non-friends and where can I find these  Facebook message requests?

Let’s find out.

What are Hidden Messages on Facebook Messenger?

The Facebook hidden messages are in a separate ‘Message requests’ folder in your Facebook Messenger application. This is where Facebook sends spam messages and requests from users that aren’t your friends on the platform.

If the company puts the message in the hidden inbox on Facebook and thinks it’s spam, it won’t send a notification to let you know that you have message requests in Messenger.

In most cases, Facebook classified FB messages as message request on Facebook if it believes that you might know the user based on your current friends and connections. If there is no evidence that you may know the person, the platform will move the message to the Spam folder.

Blocked users can’t send you messages on Facebook, even if the ‘Message Request’ feature is enabled. However, if you unblock the user, they will be able to send a message request as any other non-friend on the platform and their messages will be moved to the same mailbox as all other hidden messages on Facebook.

Where Can You Find Hidden Messages on Facebook Messenger?

The method of accessing hidden Facebook messages is similar on all devices.

  4. Click on ‘Message requests’ to see your filtered messages on Facebook.

If you want to see what Facebook labelled as spam in your account, scroll down and click on ‘See all in Messenger’ to see the Facebook Messenger Spam folder.

Did you know: A Messenger message request on Facebook can be accepted or declined. If you respond to a message request, you will automatically accept it and the message will move to your inbox in the app.

Bottom Line

When someone is not your friend on Facebook, the platform doesn’t allow messages from them to go directly to your inbox, so it sends them to a separate folder and gives you the option to accept or decline the request.
